FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long will the inspection take to complete?

A Home Inspection can take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours to complete. Some Inspections can be completed quicker, while others take longer. Newer/smaller  homes will typically require less time than older/larger homes..

Will you tell me if the home passes or fails the inspection?

The purpose of the Home  Inspection is not to pass or fail a home, but to inform you of all observable findings related to the Home's condition and to explain the implications and recommendations so you can make an informed decision based on that information.

Do I need to attend the inspection?

We highly recommend that you attend the home inspection. By viewing conditions in person, having the opportunity to ask questions and obtain advice, you will be in the best position to learn as much as possible about the condition of the home and property.

Is a Home Inspection a warranty or guarantee?

A home inspection is a limited visual inspection of readily accessible systems and  components at the time of the inspection, but does not guarantee future conditions of the home or property.

There may be latent or concealed conditions that could be missed or conditions that can develop after the time of the inspection. This is a standard limitation of any Home Inspection and important to understand. For more information on what the home inspection covers and does not cover, see the "Standards of Practice".
